Our Church motto for 2019:

"So now I am giving you a new commandment: love each other.  Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.  Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

(John 13:34-35 NLT)

On 20th January 2019, we signed the covenant (and statement of faith) with North Walsham Churches together, which reads:

We declare our common belief in the love of God, the Lordship and saving grace of Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of participation in the Holy Spirit. We believe that God wills the unity of His church, which can move forward locally by working together more and more closely.

We therefore commit ourselves

  • To support one another in the ministry of care for the whole community.
  • To pray regularly for each other, to come together from time to time in acts of public worship and witness.
  • To continue to explore how we may enrich our common outreach to those of all ages.

We identify with the five marks of mission endorsed by the 1997 forum of Churches Together in England:

  • To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom.
  • To teach, baptise and nurture new believers.
  • To respond to human needs by loving service.
  • To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation.
  • To strive and to safeguard the integrity of creation, and to sustain and renew the life of the earth.

We recognise that in the unity we seek there will also be diversity; so we rejoice in the rich variety of our heritage, and remain loyal to our denominations.

We welcome all to share in the work under God, Father, Son, and Holt Spirit.

Declaration of Principle- The Basis of the Baptist Union is:

1. That our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each Church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws.

2. That Christian Baptism is the immersion in water into the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, of those who have professed repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who 'died for our sins according to the Scriptures; was buried, and rose again the third day'.

3. That it is the duty of every disciple to bear personal witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to take part in the evangelisation of the world.
