Outreach and Mission:
- Worstead Baptist Church regularly lead services at Worstead Day Care Centre in Meeting Hill, and Halvergate House in North Walsham.
- Worstead Baptist Church both prayerfully and financially support the work of Canaan Christian Centre in Sheringham. The Centre works amongst families, young people and children in Great Britain, Hungary and the Ukraine.
- Café Worship in Meeting Hill
As a result of Worstead Day Care Centre being moved to a new site in North Walsham, the possession of the Old School has reverted to Worstead Baptist Church. Just before the lockdown, we had decided to use it in the winter months for Sunday Worship, as the main church is too difficult to heat at that time of year, and also to do some café worship in there because there are no pews.
When we are able to meet together again, we aim to have café worship at least once a month in the Old School. People will be able to sit round tables, helping themselves to hot drinks, cakes and biscuits whenever they want to; as the service progresses. It will indeed have quite an informal and unthreatening feel about it – ideal for new people to come along.
